Dear All.

Serif (Europe) Ltd. is announcing the release of an update for English Language CraftArtist (build number 1.0.5.043)

The main purpose of the build is to offer better cross-product compatibility with future releases, but it also addresses a few issues as listed below. Many are phrased in the negative from our database but are nevertheless fixed.

• New style blend mode frames do not print preview correctly
• Objects overlapping centre of photobooks do not clip to centre line
• Colour picker does not work on Windows 7 with Aero disabled
• As well as all the issues fixed in previous updates

We would recommend that ALL users of CraftArtist download and install this file. Serif recommend that updating should be done within the program, by using the "Check for update from web" option in the Help Menu. This will always get any available update for your version of Serif software (DVD or download) and install it too. The downloads page www.serif.com/downloads.asp has the file also, which is 10.0 MB.


Please note that CraftArtist software has 3 levels of software functionality. CraftArtist Compact, Standard and Professional. Check for updates will find the suitable patch for your software, as these are 3 separate patches.

To work out if you need this update choose "About CraftArtist" in the help menu and if the version number is 1.0.4.040 or less then you need this update. Helpfully the software checks for updates the first time it runs, so for those yet to install a CD, the latest update will be found on first use if needed.
