CraftArtist Update announcement (1.0.2)

Dear All.

Serif (Europe) Ltd. is announcing the release of an update for English Language CraftArtist (build number 1.0.2.033)


The main purpose of the build is to resolve issues discovered after the release of CraftArtist 1.0.1.30, for which we sincerely apologise. This update addresses the following major issues.

• Print Preview crashes the application.
• The first page of many documents does not print.
• Clicking on 'shop' items can crash the application.
  
• Pasting text could crash the application.
• Backgrounds dragged onto non 12*12 pages are not added at the correct size.
• Curve tool while editing the path of "text on a path" had no buttons on the toolbar.
• Erasing parts of brush strokes made through a stencil could crash.
• Photo Tab displays a 'check/tick' when a photo is used in the document.

We would recommend that ALL users of CraftArtist download and install this file. Serif recommend that updating should be done within the program, by using the "Check for update from web" option in the Help Menu. This will always get any available update for your version of Serif software (DVD or download) and install it too. The downloads page www.serif.com/downloads.asp has the file also, which is 3.7 MB.


Please note that CraftArtist software has 3 levels of software functionality. CraftArtist Compact, Standard and Professional. Check for updates will find the suitable patch for your software, as these are 3 separate patches.

To work out if you need this update choose "About CraftArtist" in the help menu and if the version number is 1.0.0.023 or 1.0.1.030 then you need this update. Helpfully the software checks for updates the first time it runs, so for those yet to install a CD, the latest update will be found on first use if needed.

It crashed on me yesterday, but it might have been something I did. Will try it again.
