PhotoPlus X3: Extract tool - deselecting toush-up brush size setting

Hi

I'm running training sessions using PhotoPlus and have encountered a problem with the Extract Tool. When using the Touchup tool, if you set a brush size by entering a value (for precision, as oppposed to using the slider), the box remains selected; therefore, if you use the keys 1-9 to change brush pressure, you simply end up increasing the brush size. I've just checked on an XP system and the problem doesn't occur... is this a recognised Window 7 / Vista problem?

In XP, when you key in a value in the box, it retains the focus until (a) you press the TAB key and cycle the focus to another selection item in the panel, or (b) take the cursor back into the graphics area. At the point where the cursor changes back to the brush, the focus is removed from the setting.

Perhaps you could try using the Tab key to change the focus to say the Edge colour box just below the brush size after you change the size setting. The 1-9 keys should not change the Edge Colour setting. I don't know whether that will work as I don't have Win 7or Vista to try it.

Is your Win 7 or Vista system 32 bit or 64 bit.

Thanks very much for this. I've now recommended using the slider, but added a note re tabbing. I'm sure the Vista system is 32 bit.
