Hi Trevor,

If you if you insert a 'Creative Frame' instead a 'HTML Text Frame' and then go to Text > Bullets & Numbering, you will see there is almost an unlimited number of bullets you can use.

However, if you do decide to use one of these bullets with a Creative Frame, your text will be converted to an image, which means that it cannot be read by search engines.

That said, I would recommend that you keep your text as text and stick with the default bullets.

Hope that helps.

Create your own graphic using WebPlus and export to a file using 'File' > 'Publish site' > 'Export as picture'. It's probably best saved as a PNG file. Save it the size you want the bullet to appear.

Then click in your HTML text frame where you want your custom bullet and 'Insert' > 'Picture' > 'From file'. If you click on the custom bullet point, a jigsaw symbol will appear: click on that to adjust the position of the bullet in relation to the text.

The text will not be converted to an image.

Example attached.

I use a similar method to the option Archie described. However, I keep my text in an HTML frame and then create a series of bullets, appropriately spaced, in a separate strip of graphic images. When these are grouped, I can align the bullets alongside the text frame to create any indent I want. If the text subsequently changes, I just ungroup the graphics and re-space them.

That's a simpler way. With my method if the text changes, the bullets automatically remain in the correct position relative to the text. The indentation can be adjusted using the 'Right' edit box (see screenshot attached).

When pasting images alongside text (or on top of text), I'm always concerned about WYSIWYG in all browsers, especially with long tables. My method should avoid that but yesterday I did notice some discrepency between browsers that I have not investigated yet.

That's neat, I'll give it a go when I next do bullets - thanks for the tip. I think the spacing issue over different browsers is probably caused by the slight variances of fonts and font spacing. But, I think it can be overcome by leaving plenty of space in the HTML text box (maybe adjusting the paragraph spacing slightly)
