WebPlus X2: Paypal generating error code when pasted

I noticed that Ashley had this problem last year and I am having this problem now, no one gave her a solid answer. When I log-in to paypal and create a ecommerce button for my website, then I take the code it generated and pasted it in the area of the X2 program when it's suppose to go and it comes up as an error and says to make sure you copied it correctly which I did.
I am trying to make a add to cart button in paypal that will have a drop-down menu for "dates of dances" so people can pay and RSVP for the different dances and I will know exactly which day they are coming since it would have a drop-down menu. I can add a button in X2 but you can't do a dropdown menu with it.
Also I have tried copying it different ways with right clicking and also selecting code, I have tried the paste to body and other things. I assume that paypal is generating a encrypted code or maybe they are not. It could be something in my settings. I have always had problems with this since I purchased last year. Hi John

Welcome to the Serif forums.

For button code generated in paypal, I use Insert > WebObject > HTML > Paste to Body > position the grey square on the page.

If you want to make your buttons in WP X2, use the Add to Cart form option as this will allow for two options and can include a dropdown (combo) box. However, X2 does not support multi-pricing as does X4 along with ten options.

Thanks mjh, now when I paste the code it doesn't even allow it to paste, it just remains blank. It was working all day long, I must have screwed my settings up or maybe have something open or hidden which is throwing it off. John

Just close WP and start it up again.
