Wow expensive, I think most people rerading those would rather keep clear of the free hosting, pay low prices for a year then save the hassle of switching hosts in 18 months

Hopefully.

Also steer clear of hosting thats too cheaply priced. I had to learn a hard lesson or two about that. 'cheap' typically equals 'no tech support'...even if its advertised.
When ya call the guys are out on extended donut breaks.

Comparing that with weartintewrnet.co.uk, which gives you pretty much everything inluding a free copy of WPx4 for 2.99 a month with excellent support

I've had no problems with Easyspace and One.com. You will find some negative reviews but then there are negative reviews about every hosting company.

wow one.com seem to offer a good deal free 3000mb 90p / pence a month deal for unlimited hosting with free domain name , but a 9.00 set up fee still sounds pretty good , what's the customer support like ?

or have I misread this ?

Looked at their site and the "free" WPX4 is not included with the 2.99 package.
You have to pay 8.99 or more to get it.

I currently pay 0.90 for 3 gig hosting, no WPX4 included.

No that is the deal. They also have a very good FAQ and free online user to user live help. Check out the support pages which give detailed help on how to set up and administer your hosting.

The first year is just 9, subsequent years are around 20 (0.90 per month + domain renewal)

I have used them for over 3 years and support has been fine.
There are FAQs, Guides, a contact form and live support.
I have not had any real problems and they have my answered questions quickly.
A few months back they had a hardware problem on some servers and wrote to customers explaining the issue and advising how they were replacing the hardware.

I would point out they require 35 days notice to close your account, otherwise they will automatically renew it and invoice you.
This is very clearly explained in the terms and conditions.

I use WebHostingPad for some of my sites as it is $1.99 a month with Free Domain for the first year. The support is great, and there is Unlimited Storage, Unlimited Bandwidth, and Unlimited E-Mail accounts. The CPanel is also very full featured.

It makes Serif's Hosting look extremely expensive. At least they have an initial free version.

I also use One.com and find them excellent in both price and customer service. Been with them for about 2 years.
