Dear All.

Serif (Europe) Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of a patch for WebPlus X4 (build number 12.0.1.022).


The main purpose of the patch is to resolve issues in WebPlus X4 12.0.0, for which we apologise. A list of the major changes/fixes in this patch is provided below. Some are phrased in the negative from our database, but are nevertheless fixed in this patch.

• Fix crashes copy/pasting in a table
• Fixing problem loading some X2 sites
• Fix crash when selecting a template
• Fix crash pasting text
• Fixed crash on loading some documents
• Fix problem setting directories in page export filenames
• Fix loading of legacy photo gallery.
• PhotoLab: fix for default plugins showing as expanded.
• Fix PhotoLab crash with some filters
• Made CAPTCHA objects editable in form wizard dialog
• adding words to spell dictionary that contain a trailing period fixed.
• Text Wrap Distance from Anchored Graphics is Ignored
• Colour schemes on-page colour is not preserving the transparent setting.
• Allow marker names in Google Maps to include apostrophes and other non-safe characters
• Paste format is fixed.
• Export then reimport FTP accounts doesn't work
• Avoid crash when enabling Navbar NOSCRIPT option
• Fix crash previewing hosted objects.
• Fix "Don't resample pictures if exporting close to original size" and Default page file extension not being remembered in site prop pages.
• A number of other fixes affecting some customers.
• Navigation bars reworked to mend generic and many specific issues. Not all issues resolved yet.

We would recommend that ALL users of WebPlus X4 download and install this patch. Serif recommend that patching should be done within the program, by using the "Check for update from web" option in the Help Menu. This will always get any available patch for your version of Serif software (CD or download) and install it too. The downloads page www.serif.com/downloads.asp has the patch also, which is 24 MB. The patch for the download WebPlus X4 is the same as for the CD version.


Helpfully the software checks for updates the first time it runs, so for those yet to install a CD, the latest patch will be found on first use.

To work out if you need this patch choose "About WebPlus" in the help menu and if the version number is 12.0.0.019 or 12.0.0.20 and you are running the English version then you need this patch.
