Serif PhotoPlus X3 Patch Announcement (13.0.2)

Dear All.

Serif (Europe) Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of a patch for PhotoPlus X3 (build number 13.0.2.012).


The main purpose of the patch is to resolve a specific issue discovered after the release of PagePlus X3 13.0.1, for which we apologise.

• Stopped the Print Studio from crashing when selecting 'Print Layout' mode.
• Starting screen capture twice in a row no longer crashes the program.
• Painting on masks now works with selections.
• Fix for 'Paste into Selection' not working with non-rectangular selections on masks.
• Groups containing adjustment layers now blend correctly.
• Fix for the Blur, Smudge and Sharpen tools not working on layers that are larger than the document.
• fix crashes in motion blur and FXTexture
• Fix for "saving workspaces" and "print layouts" not working on Vista & Windows 7.

This patch also includes the fixes made in the previous 13.0.1 patch.


We would recommend that ALL users of PhotoPlus X3 english version download and install this patch. Serif recommend that patching should be done within the program, by using the "Check for update from web" option in the Help Menu. This will always get any available patch for your version of Serif software (CD or download) and install it too. The downloads page www.serif.com/downloads.asp has the patch also, which is 1.4 MB. The patch for the download PhotoPlus X3 is the same as for the CD version.

To work out if you need this patch choose "About PagePlus" in the help menu and if the version number is 13.0.1.011 or less then you need this patch. This software patch is the only patch you need to apply, no matter what version of software you are currently running. There is no need to uninstall any previous patch before installing this patch.
