WebPlus X4: Patch Announcement (12.0.0.020)

Serif (Europe) Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of a small maintenance patch for WebPlus X4 (build number 12.0.0.020).

The main purpose of the patch is to resolve a specific issue discovered after the release of WebPlus X4 12.0.0.019, for which we apologise. A list of the changes/fixes in this patch is provided below. Some are phrased in the negative from our database, but are nevertheless fixed in this patch.

• Colour scheme's on-page colour is not preserving the transparent setting.
• Infinite uncompose recompose loop (Smart Object previews / scheme matching)
• Crash when previewing site with linked resources
• Live page previews do not display attach to bottom items correctly
• Background image missing from template thumbnail previews
• Re-uploading a website makes WebPlus request to save it
• 'Maintain Website' dialog shows extra unnamed folder
• Changing the picture frame quickly crashes WebPlus
• Crash Pasting WMF into Text Frame
• Crash on Dragging Table Cells
• Crash on Importing Web Site
• PagePlus mentioned in Select Autoflow Frame Size dialog box
• Revise paypal description on Configuration screen

We would recommend that ALL users of WebPlus X4 download and install this patch. Serif recommend that patching should be done within the program, by using the "Check for update from web" option in the Help Menu. This will always get any available patch for your version of Serif software (CD or download) and install it too. The downloads page www.serif.com/downloads.asp has the patch also, which is 9.21 MB. The patch is not required for the download version WebPlus X4 which is 12.0.0.20 already.

Helpfully the software checks for updates the first time it runs, so for those yet to install a CD, the latest patch will be found on first use.

To work out if you need this patch choose "About WebPlus" in the help menu and if the version number is 12.0.0.019 then you need this patch.
