HOW DO I ASSIGN HOME PAGE

How do I assign which page loads when I go to mydomainname.com?

Either this is so incredibly complex or so incredibly simple. I couldn't find any mention of it in Help at all.

Stan,

By default, www.yoursite.com/ will load the index.html file automatically. WP names your main page index.html so you shouldn't have to worry about this.
