Lightbulb How to convert/import PPP file?

Dear All,

I have several files created in Page Plus 9 that I need, at the very least, to be able to view. The only Serif software I posess is a freeware version of Page Plus 5, which cannot open the PP9 files.

Can anyone recommend a converter or viewer that will let me see the textual contents of these files. Even better would be some way of importing them into another application:

In Design CS
Pagemaker 7
Illustrator CS
Acrobat 6
Microsoft Publisher 2003

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.
Jonny

Jonny,

I don't think a standalone converter or viewer exists for PP. Perhaps you could ask the creator of the files (or indeed any PP9 owner) to convert the files via PP9's 'Publish as PDF...' facility so that you can open them in Acrobat.

Shouldn't be a problem, but what size files are you referring to as I'm on dial up.

Dave,

Thanks for the offer. There are actually six files. All but one (6.7MB) are easily manageable on dial-up.

What do you think?

Thanks Walter,

I'll send you the files just now. There's no rush to convert them, just when you can get the time.

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the Serif forums.

What version of PagePlus are you using? With recent versions when you go to File > Export as Pdf, your PagePlus file will have a pdf file, too.

Alfred,

Won't Serif's free PagePlus Starter Edition open PP9 files, or is that functionality disabled? In any case, opening the files in any version of PP could involve font issues which should be avoided by the PDF conversion approach.

Just a little before Starter Edition's time, I guess...

As you can tell, I never look at the dates, just assuming that something that's "fresh" on the list is "new". I'll have to remember that "resurrection" occurs on the forum...

Would you believe I'm not a wine drinker (or even taster) here in the middle of all this "bounty"? The up side of that is that I won't miss it when I move to the middle of nowhere in NE Oregon in a couple of months (which is a subject for another thread, I suppose)...
