I want to change the name of individual pages on my web site to be descriptive ("church"rather than "page2").I tried to do this by changing the title and file name through "web site propeties." It seems rather than replacing the old page, a new page was created under the new name. Thus I now have duplicate pages of the first ten pages of my site, each under either the new, discriptive name or the old "pag2, page3", etc. Furthermore, PP8 won't let me delete the new name and go back to my old, numbered, pages, only replace it with something else.
1. How do I delete a page once I have published it to the web?
2. How do I change the name of an individual page so as to be descriptive of the page but not duplicate pages?
You created your web site and published it with Page1 Page 2 etc. You then changed the names of the pages and published it. That is whjy you have 'duplicates'. If you saved your publiction as 'Pam' then saved it as 'Qualye' you would have 2 files on your hard disc.....
You need to delete the pages called 'Page1' etc from your webspace using an FTP client. Your site will then comprise of the new page names. Personally, I'd delete them all and republish.
The easiest way I have found is to delete the whole website and then re-publish.
Whilst renaming a page in the source is ok when publishing the software cannot tell that this 'new' page is actually an old page re-named since pages can be added individually to an existing set up
For emails replace 'at' with @ and 'dot' with . (twice)
