8.03 Patch - requests registering

I loaded the 8.03 patch yesterday afternoon and tried it out. All seemed okay.

When I start it up today, it wants me to register. Since I didn't even have to do that when I upgraded to 8.0 and patches .01 & .02 went smooth, I'm mystified.

(Did a clean install.) Since it's allowing me not to register right away, it's not a major problem, but if I can save a phone call, it would be nice.

Didn't happen with me!

Use the "Register" button above, though

This is pure chance, you should be left alone for 30 days (I think) after installation and after that you will/may be asked to register. This is not related to the patch, and would have happened today anyway.

Ah so. I did as John V suggested and was okay in minutes.

I guess I panicked because it's been a bunch of upgrades and patches since I was asked to register and naturely I have already thrown out all the packaging. So when asked for my installation number I feared the worst. But I found that the one I had recorded when I got v6 worked fine.
