If you used the standard template the audio is Dolby and maybe your DVD player cannot handle this which would be unusual. Try exporting with mpeg audio.

You didn't say if you're in PAL or NTSC land. If NTSC, MPEG1 Layer 2 audio is not standard and may not play on all players while AC-3 Dolby Digital will. For DVD products in PAL, MPEG-1 Layer 2 audio is compatible with all players. In general, no matter what system you are on, if you encode to Dolby Digital your DVD player will play it back. Therefore, unless you encoded to MPEG 1 Layer 2 and are in the US, the problem is more than likely an illegal bit rate or something else out of the DVD specifications. Having said all that, you may run into some compatibility issues with older DVD players in PAL countries if you encoded to AC3. I guess the bottom line is that we need more information about what you did and where you are.

Kent.

If it was me... I'd have to check:

- TV sound is not muted.
- Audio from DVD player is reaching the TV.
- DVD player is not set to play from an alternative sound track... MoviePlus produced DVDs have only one (stereo) sound track.

Also, DVD players are much more sensitive to burning errors than are PC DVD drives. So it is just possible that burning errors are affecting the audio.

However, I'd expect the errors to affect the video as well.

For maximum compatibility, I always burn DVDs at slow speed.

Hi folks. Thanks for your help and your quick response.
Finally found time to check things out.
Problem was not in the Movie plus software but in the 1941 mk 1 human brain software.
I had the dvd player set to mono and not stereo.
works perfectly now.
