Default Modifying Navigation Bar Buttons

I have been able to modify a stand alone button but I am having difficulty in selecting a button in an existing navigation bar. I am trying to change the text ink from black to a lighter color.

I manage to identify the nav button and select appearance but I don't see any link to the button design to change the ink.

I must have missed something and searching help with "navigation button design" has no hits.

Hello Howard,

A quick question, is the button in a set of other buttons in one navigation bar and you want it to be different to the rest, or is just a button on its own, in its own navigation bar? If it's just a button on it's own, I think I can help...

I'm using WPx4 so I'm not sure if this still stands on WPx5, but here it goes anyway. Try right clicking on the navigation bar and clicking on the "Edit Style..." option. You should get a window open which will give you various options on the left hand side on things you can do to change your navigation bar. To change the link colour, select "Main Menu > Links" and "Main Menu > Rollover Links" and change the setting accordingly.

I suggest you have a play around using this feature until you get the perfect navigation bar.

My suggestion is a bit touch and go, but it might be helpful.

I was able to change the nav bar text color in X5 which appears to be different to X4 with the button Studio.

Now I wish to change the hover button background in the Button Studio. How do I replace the gradient with solid color? When I select a solid color the Studio's sample still shows the gradient color.

I think that the attachments, created for another user with a similar query, may enlighten you.

@ Cara - styling the navigation bar changed quite a bit in X5 with the new button studio.
