WebPlus X6 Update Announcement (14.0.1)

Dear All,

Serif (Europe) Ltd. is announcing the release of an update for the multi-lingual WebPlus X6 DVD (build number 14.0.1.23).

The main purpose of the build is to resolve issues discovered since the master of WebPlus 14.0.0 CD for which we apologise. As well as a number of minor fixes, this update addresses the following major issues. Many are phrased in the negative from our database but are nevertheless fixed.

• Fix crash loading legacy document with theme graphics
• Preview in Window crashes when page has redirect
• Fix crash on import webpage
• Preview in window crashes when have offsite link with null hyperlink
• Crash when editing photogallery with embedded files.
• Instant 3D crashes with .wdp file
• Fix crash when right click on quickshape with shadow
• Fix crashes with dodgy Shockwave files
• Fix crash in RSS reader dialog
• Crash displaying object when Site Manager opened from Site Structure view
• Fix numerous other crashes
• Javascript PhotoGallery is Offset on a Panel
• CTRL + drag to copy a JS PhotoGallery - does not show a preview
• Pro PhotoGallery: some settings don't stick
• Pro PhotoGallery: Hyperlinks don't open in Document Frame
• Some sliders preview/publish in wrong location until edited.
• Slider navbar button edits not retained
• Slider navigation bars don't highlight current slider page
• Slider panel back button does not work.
• Nested Sliders with duplicate IDs are not detected by Site Checker
• Fix colour transform (Caused wrong colours on export)
• Fixed panels not drawing background on export
• Fix missing images on social bookmarking strip on child page
• Anchored objects misplaced on cloned page
• email link needs to escape ampersands in subject field
• option to never use image map inconsistently applied
• stop filter effects being clipped when exporting to PDF
• Fix panel visibility actions on encrypted pages
• Hover/selection highlight colour doesn't reflect master page
• Fix page filtering in Site Manager
• Fix loading button assets with embedded bitmaps.
• Scrollbar not visible when selecting button/background designs
• Image paste from Google Chrome fails
• Site structure view: clicking at the bottom of a childless page has no effect
• Prompt to save document and asset pack appropriately when added assets
• Stop YouTube objects playing sound in program.
• Site Checker test for large JPEGs exported as PNG misreports errors
• Dragging pages from some templates creates repeated master pages.
• Left and Right Studio Tabs - Won't Stay Closed
• PhotoLab: Dragging the arrow down next to the Filter changes the direction of the arrow incorrectly
• Fix error message in Site Properties when site has missing favicon file
• 3D Anti-Aliasing does not 'stick'

We would recommend that ALL users of WebPlus X6 English UK, English US, German and French download and install this update. Serif recommend that updating should be done within the program, by using the "Check for update from web" option in the Help Menu. This will always get any available update for your version of Serif software (DVD or download) and install it too. The downloads page www.serif.com/downloads.asp has the updates also.

To work out if you need this update choose "About WebPlus" in the help menu and if the version number is 14.0.0.20 or less and you are running the English UK, English US, German or French version then you need this update. Helpfully the software checks for updates the first time it runs, so for those yet to install a DVD, the latest update will be found on first use if needed.
