Default webplus separating anchor text

Hi,
Does anyone know how to get round this problem. I was hoping it might be fixed with X6.
If there is some anchor text spaced over a few lines or if ordinal numbers are used webplus makes each line or character a separate anchor. Then when users roll there mouse over the whole lot dosen't change colour at once.
you can see it happening here http://www.gravesendctc.org.uk/ on the left.
The ones on the right I edited and
The only way round this I have found is to edit the code in a text editor which is time consuming.
Does anyone have a solution.
thanks
from
Richard

I don't use Anchors, but I have seen this issue before with a hyperlink rollover. What happens if you avoid using Superscript, does that help?

EDIT : I didn't notice until now it's one link to 'News'.

I was looking at the date 1st - 2nd which appeared to be using Superscript via Text Style (CTRL+M > Font), I could be wrong.

With the ordinal numbers it uses a different span class (defined in the styles at the top of the page) to produce them, and I have found that even if the anchor text is on one line but uses ordinal numbers webplus will still split it into separate anchors.
I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this before.
I'll have a look at the font setting though and see if I can do anything.
Thanks

I see what superscript is now!
With that turned off webplus dosen't break it up within the line but still makes each line a separate anchor.

Hi Richard,

I don't know why WP won't let you select a text object (rather than its contents) and apply a hyperlink to the whole thing. The only workaround I've been able to come up with is to remove the existing hyperlink, right-click the text box, choose 'Attach HTML...' and add the hyperlink code manually to the 'Preamble' and 'Postamble' placeholders so that they look like this
Code:
<!--Preamble--><a href="news.html">
and this
Code:
</a><!--Postamble-->
Not ideal, but at least you won't have to publish to disk and edit the code in a text editor.

Alfred

Thanks Alfred,
That's what I'll have to do, as you say it's quicker than opening it up in a text editor.
