To my opinion t"the font"thing" is the best software there is for font display and managing. I highly recommend it.

Sharon

Font Manager is a Serif app and that is what this forum is about.

Looks like you are a spammer rather than a Serif app user.

Hi all,

It's a long time since I posted anything on the Serif Forum, but the post about the The Font Thing interested me. I used to use this program and it was very good for installing fonts in Winderz! However, as far as I know, it hasn't been updated to work with Windows 7. Anyone got any recent information on this?

Terry

Genuine users who are not spammers usually post regularly, and participate in the forum. Spammers usually arrive here via a Google search, and so often post in the wrong place. Since Font Manager is no longer sold by Serif, this forum is pretty much moribund. In my opinion, mjh was right. If she was wrong, SharonAngel would have replied stating her reasons for posting this thread. What's your reason?

She's a spammer.
  • Only three posts,
  • Only on the day she joined,
  • None of her posts had anything to do with any Serif product.
  • As noted by a moderator, her posts had "inappropriate" links.

What has anyone got to gain from spamming free software, it does not make sense?

There are lots of ways to spam, and even free software vendors make a living from selling advertising or from search engines, so they need to promote their freeware somehow. What spammers often do is register, post a few genuine posts, and then update their signature with a link. The inappropriate links were removed already.

The links were obviously removed before I saw this thread. I only saw a simple reference to a free piece of software.....Now that you mention inappropriate links, I can understand why you all say Spammer!
