After having a discussion in the WebPlus forum it was mentioned that on the Forum Smart Object that should a user forget their password they are unable to reset it themselves from within the forum. I am aware that by adding the user list dmart object this can be done but think it would be a huge improvement to actually have it within the forum itself.

Would like to see the resource booker be more customizable for other business types (in my case, restaurant reservations). Right now it really only seems worthwhile for use in hotel/B&B style sites. For example, you can't book anything without having a price for that time/date...which, even set to $0, looks silly and unprofessional for a restaurant booking.

Thanks

I totally agree The resource booker is a great feature which by no means lives up to its full potential

Serif: Please note

In WebPlus X4 resources.
I would like to see the Access Control List sign up, being able to specify a return URL when the sign up is complete, instead of the 'Click the back button on your browser' message.

Also the 'Terms and Conditions' link should be able to link to your websites terms and conditions, not those of Serif.

Ta muchly!

Ideally, it would probably link to both the T&Cs of your site and Serif - add one in an iframe on the same page as the other, or something

It would be great if the Blog Smart Object could show not just the comments posted by the Blog owner, but also the Comments made by the person responding to the Blog entry, without having to click on a link to go off to a differentpage - that way you could see the interactive comments on one screen on one page - I think it would be great if this was an option -

see posting http://forums.serif.com/showthread.php?t=91274

Since Serif are insisting on using the CAPTCHA gateway I really think they need to do some designing of the page to look better, it currently looks like its stuck in the 1980ís and running on a Commodore 64.

Are there any plans in the future to look at this small issue, maybe there could be a few check boxes to enable us to formate it to work with our site setting out rather than left justification. And whatís with the colours!!

Rant over!

For pdf forms, I would like the customisation of the details in the web-to-email gateway, available in WPX5, to also be also available in PP - e.g. the customisation of the 'subject' heading of emails. And, I suppose vice versa, the availability of fdf emails in WP.

Nice idea, but I won't be using this feature unless it's improved upon.
I agree with webbo. Could serif consider an online booking system that caters to people who work in defined slots during the day: eg driving instructors, therapists, hairdressers etc.

Idea from raybatchelor

My ideal would be a system whereby clients could

login with a password
book their appointment
move their appointment if demand requires
cancel appointment

The booking system would need to be set up so that the administrator could set the following parameters;

Appointment duration for defined treatments
Buffer time between appointments or rest time
Lunch/coffee etc. breaks
calender for different personnel eg junior/senior hair stylist etc.

Ideally the system would also include an automated reminder system either to email or to sms mobile phone text. The latter could be provided for by the website owner purchasing sms text messaging 'credits'

Can anyone else add to this idea?

Poor you - you should have been one of the first to get WebPlus x5 (I havn't even ordered yet - Serif kept phoning me but I was always busy and couldn't talk - Sales calls are funny though)

The resource booker definitely wants improvements (as I've mentioned several times); as well as your suggestions, if it could be made e-commerce and accept payments, show invoices, etc., that would make it a really good tool which I would definitely use.

As it is though, it's worthless to me

Could be a really, really good feature though

Your smart object Forum is a great tool for my educational proposes...But to post a new topic in my language (Greek) was a disaster .Here is an example of the preview of the word Anatomy (???????? greek) Ανατομία Also naming the forum in greek and adding a description is simply impossible Please take care of these items in your future updates.

I definitaly agree with that; That is one of the main reasons why I've been using Forms To Go (free version) to handle my forms, etc.
Please let us use our own email addresses!

When, oh when are we going to see the latest upgrade to the tinyMCE Text Editor for Blogs and CMS.

The one we are using is years out of date. The latest version has so many more features to enhance your offerings.

Surely, it can neither be that costly or time consuming to implement this upgrade.

Serif: Any chance of communicating your intentions ?
