I agree with Mike's comments and observation on static sites.

WebPlus, for me, is excellent for producing prototypes and that is where I'll be using it, developing ideas, trying things out. A neglected way of using WP, IMHO.

Database connections on one part and dynamic tables with CSV/XML files on the other part are two totally different topics.

Can you negotiate a better deal than going from ver3 to ver4 for free? You want them to pay you?

Well if I can negotiate WebPlus to less that £20, then they will be paying me (as they gave me £20 credit) ... but I'm not going to; I have to pay them something for it

Sorry Tom... We've kind of strayed off topic

Do you have a link to an example of "Ken Burns effect"... I don't know what that is

I'm thinking more for the poor developers who come looking for ideas . Some of the titles also refer to PagePlus, like this one.

All of the suggestions from the above posts (with the exception of any waffle) as an update patch for Webplus X6 rather than another new version thanks.

WebPlus has the function to send web pages as HTML emails. This feature has been discussed in countless threads.
However, most html emails do not display properly in email clients.
Can WebPlus X7 (or an X6 patch... I assume it hasn't been improved in X6 anyway; my copy I hope will arrive today!)
either improve on this so that they do all display properly,
or at least come with some email templates which have been tested to work and can be adapted for our own newsletters.

Thanks

I seem to be always asking for this, and so do many other web designers that use WebPlus.

Please can we have a more feature rich and interactive CMS.

So why didn't you change it when you posted, Tom, instead of leaving it to me to change it after the fact??

Not to worry, Tom; it was only one of many. Sorry if my flippancy didn't come across clearly enough!

For years I've been asking for a separate .css file, to contain styles for the entire web site.

WebPlus still creates .css styles in the head of each page. Each style's name can specify a different format from page to page, and each identical format can have a different name from page to page.

It's very tedious and time-consuming to rename and collate the styles manually into a single .css file, so that all pages are formatted correctly with uniform style names.

Can we have a copy item to all pages (in place)? If edited on one page it will change in the others?

Takes ages if you have a couple of hundred pages and have to edit one at a time
