There were many suggestions made for X6, most of which it was not possible to implement with the resources availble, sorry, but all of which were read and considered for X6 and X7.
If there are any important suggestions from these wishlists which didn't make it into X6 that you think may have been overlooked, please feel free to repost them here if you'd still like to see them implemented in X7.

Already! X6 hasn't been released 5 hours yet! Give the rest of us a chance to get a copy before you point out all the features we are still missing/wanting

In Custom Action actually only a JavaScript function can be executed. Please add an option and an interface here to dynamically change ANY inherent HTML or CSS property (attribute) of any HTML element on the page!

For example: A listbox shows all HTML elements on the page which have an ID. When the user selects an element in the list, the properties of this element are shown on an adjacent panel. The user now can set a value for any of the listed properties. These values will then be applied to this element when the action is performed.

This would allow the user to dynamically change any HTML element at run-time without having to write JavaScript code, just by selecting properties in a list with the mouse and setting some values!

This would add many possibilities to easily and quickly create interactivity for the website viewer!

The technical foundations to implement this in WP can be found here:

Easy HTML Tooltips: Select a word, right-click context menu item opens an editor window where the user can create text or HTML content in WYSIWYG mode. This HTML content then is displayed in a tooltip when the user hovers over the word at run-time. Would be very nice and useful!

Publish an SDK to allow third party developers to create custom widgets. This would substantially extend the capabilities of WebPlus.

The reason that I cant buy Web Plus is because it does not allow you to switch between WYSIWYG and Code View. I need this ability because I often want to edit things quickly. There are just items that I need to change in my code that isn`t allowed unless I have the code editor built in. Please add this ability so that I dont have to remain with Microsoft Expressions Web more expensive upgrades.

Please allow customizing of the context toolbars! There is no reason why it shouldn't be possible to customize context toolbars! Added icons of course should only appear in the context where they have been added.

Well, let's see. MS Expression Professional costs roughly the same as WP. Going from version 3 to the current version 4 was free. Going from any previous version to the current version is roughly $50 US and can be had for less for the savvy shopper.

It does cost a bit more for a new purchaser.

Take care, Mike

The difference is, you can negotiate price with Serif, whereas I think one would have a harder time doing so with MS

Back to the original problem, I am able to switch back and fourth, to edit code with Expressions, and need WebPlus to be able to do that in order to be a serious competitor. I can do just as much with Coffee Cup HTML Editor with free lifetime upgrades, but it is code only. I really like PagePlus, and would like to be able to use WebPlus. I'm going to start looking to upgrade my original Expression Pro. Thanks MikeW.

A parameter to adjust the transition speed of sliders would be a very useful enhancement to the slider asset. Transition speed in sliders enhances the "feel" of the site. As an example, sliders transition speeds for a health spa would be gentler and more mellow (slower transition) than of a mixed marshal arts website where you want to create as much higher (faster transition) level of intensity.

Configurable search with pages and words to omit or be searched. Unless of course it is already in WP6

Anyone using EW or DW for clients doesn't really care to negotiate and the upgrade fee on EW is good enough. DW, on the other hand, costs me a bit more. I also do not negotiate with Serif, either.

I like WebPlus. I wish I could find more sites where I could use it appropriately. It is a well made application. I rarely make static sites, though.

Take care, Mike
