Unhappy WebPlus X5 Absolute text size

I've set my site up with "Force Absolute Text Size" under site properties, HTML output. Even with this, in some browsers the text is changing size proportional to the autoshapes and transparencies I have behind it for highlighting. This is happening with a mac (unkown browser), and also with a PC using Safari browser. It also happens in Foxfire and Internet Explorer at some magnifications. Any suggestions about how to keep the text proportional to the graphics? My site address is: http://www.laughingwomyn.com
Thanks!
