Default McAfee and Web Design

Hello,

Does anyone know where I need to add the code received from McAfee to verify my serif designed website please?

I've never heard of this before, I'm not a McAfee user.

Where do I go to obtain the code? I expect you paste it to the HEAD of the source code, but I can't tell without seeing it.

I expect a moderator will move this thread from the general forum to the webplus forum.

It is the McAfee Site Advisor https://www.siteadvisor.com/. It is the little icon that either shows a tick or a question mark against a URL pasted anywhere -it shows a trusted website etc.

I've not found where to verify a website and obtain verification code. Where does McAfee/Siteadvisor say the verification code should go? Bing & Google verification go to the HEAD, so perhaps try pasting there and then check verification status of your website with McAfee/Siteadvisor.

As far as I know - Site Advisor is software for users to download on their computers to work in their browsers - there are a number of other such addins.
Please point us to any code that is usable in Websites - I can't see it...

I have tried to do the exact same thing myself, verify my site with McAfee. You have to place the file in the root of your web site (this maybe accessed via the Tools tab > Site Manager > File Manager)

To create the file I used note pad named it using the description given by McAfee and then when you publish this will be seen as an additional html page within your site.

However, on completing the process when I try to verify the site, McAfee always returns a message saying 'error'

If you have any joy working out how to successfully complete this process and offer assistance in how you acheived it that would be great. It will no doubt also prove beneficial to others that would like to do the same thing.

Cheers,
Grant.
