Default Photo Frames in Movie Plus X6

Hello,

In Movie Plus X6 can I add Photo Frames to my Still Pictures? You already have a fine collection of Photo Frames in the Menu Designer part of Movie Plus X6. How can I access these for use with some of my Still Shots in my Movie Plus X6 Media Library? Thank you, Christian

As nobody has replied to your question, I'm assuming that it is not that straight forward. The solution I have come up with is not that elegant I'm afraid.

1. Insert CG Clip - background.
2. Open up Menu Designer & choose a frame.
3. Enlarge the frame as big as you can.
4. Press,'Prt Scr' on your keyboard which will copy the whole screen onto the clipboard.
5. Open up your photo manipulation program, (assuming you have one), and paste into a new project.
6. Crop out all the bits around the frame and you are left with just the frame, which can be saved and imported into MVP.

As I said, it's not very elegant and there ought to be a better way of doing it - also a bit long winded.

Christian, if you have done a normal install you will find the frames at

C:\Program Files\Serif\MoviePlus\X6\SerifBurnUI\Resource\Item \Frames
Just pick the folder you want and copy the files you want to somewhere on your hard drive more convenient. They are png files. I haven't tried myself so cannot guarantee it will work.

Nice one Eric,

I tried navigating to the folder containing the frames last night and when I got there it proclaimed, 'This Folder is empty', so I assumed that Serif were not too keen on their frames being used in this manner. That was on my laptop windows 7 machine. However, since reading your post I tried the same thing on my desktop machine running Vista and lo and behold there they all were in all their glory. A much more satisfactory solution.

Edit: Just discovered, the reason why I couldn't find them was because I missed out the, 'Resource', part of the path when looking for the frame folder.

If this is a regular requirement you could drag the whole frames folder into the MvP Library.

I've used PNGs of frames supplied on extra DVDs with ancient MvP4 & MvP5... in Craft Artist projects;

You could probably also use PNGs of frames supplied in Craft Artist digikits... in MoviePlus.

Thanks, Eric. That Resource folder is a great ... er ... resource!

On 32-bit Windows:
Code:
%ProgramFiles%\Serif\MoviePlus\X6\SerifBurnUI\Resource
On 64-bit Windows:
Code:
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Serif\MoviePlus\X6\SerifBurnUI\Resource
