Lightbulb Monotone Spot Color?

I submitted a file to a printer and the only problem
they had with it was that my LOGO was CMYK and it should
be changed to Monotone Spot Color.

I don't know how to do that in Photoshop 7 or PagePlus
so that the output doesn't read RGB in the print properties
window on PP10. Any ideas?

I'm by no means an expert with spot colours, but

You can recolour an image using the palette colour (or reather spot colour) you have (I asume) used for the rest of your design/document

right-click effect then recolour perhaps if the logo is a bitmap
or using the picture toolbar and picture effects then recolour
