I am gobsmacked, but very pleased to know that someone is now willing to accept that forum regulars should have a say in this process.

Thanks Tony. I had not given up hope that Serif would not really abandon the forum completely. It's been such a fine resource for such a long time, going though several big changes since Compuserve and Newsgroups, but has remained a real "community".

What about fixing bugs in the Windows versions first?

I am. This autumn I am finally leaving the Windows platform (for good), so I would love to see your software on OS X.

Otherwise it will soon be goodbye.

@testmanager:
The lack of existing mac version let us think about using "Parallels" to run PagePlus.

I am aware of this option but I really am leaving Windows (in any form) for good, so I will only use native versions of programs.

Easy to run all software Serif on a Mac

option one Boot camp (Go buy a cheep XP or vista/win 7 license, and the OS X 10.8.4 can swap screens easy

or boot up Wine, and some versions are stable

Gavin - TestManager has made it clear that he will NOT be using Windows, so your suggestions are moot. Until/Unless Serif DO decide to bring out an iOS version of their software, he's a bit stuck.

I did put options of Wine in the list, I love my Mac book Pro and installed Win 7 on it and i dont have to reboot to run windows os, Before hand i had to mess about with Wine, and other Win Emulator programs,

The Mac Question has been asked for years along with linux and always fallen of deaf ears..

This topic it was covered and was very useful

I get the impression that TestManager doesn't even want to emulate Windows!

True. Keep it simple. If I wanted a complex setup I would stay with Windows. I need to focus on design and a simple work flow, not all these hacks.

Too bad GEM OS died with it. Would be been nice to see where that would be have been now. I liked it much better than Windows at the time. ;-) My first desktop publishing was Ventura on Atari 1040ST.

I have tried to switch to Mac but am forced to maintain a PC also BECAUSE webpus and pageplus are only available in windows.
(bootcamp is a pain)

I guess I'm stuck until a competitive, intuitive program comes along for mac.

I Find Parallels is a Better Choice for running Serif Programs on a Mac.It Would Be nice to be able to run them natively but it doesn't appear that is going to happen anytime soon if ever....
