Hey Guys,
I have an image but to make it stand out i want to have a white border around everything in my picture, this includes a logo and some text. I have got rid of the background so that is gone but now how do i add a border which follows the contours of the shapes and letters???
I have attached an image of what i want to have the border around.

Hi Stephen,
First of all, please don't try to use cyan text in your forum posts. It's almost impossible to read against the default white background!
I hope you didn't get rid of a plain white background, because the first thing I would do is put it back in again.

Well, maybe the second or third thing. The first thing you need to do is increase the canvas size by about 10% (via the Image menu) to make room for the border. Go to the Colour tab and set the background colour to white, and then go to the Layers tab, right-click the layer and choose 'Layer to Background'.
Choose the Magic Wand Tool, make sure the 'Contiguous' checkbox on the Context toolbar is cleared, and then click on the white background. Choose 'Select > Modify > Contract...' to give you the required border size. Now go back to the Layers tab, right-click the layer and choose 'Promote to Layer'. Finally, press the Delete key on your keyboard and then re-export the image.
