Hi,
If you use a login area which only certain user groups can access, then you could acheive this

Maybe I'm missing something here, plonkerking, but it sounds as though you're trying to use a proverbial sledgehammer to crack a proverbial nut! If you want to grant 'admin' rights to certain members of the group, why not simply set up FTP accounts for them so that they can upload files without your having to set up a fancy uploading system on the website?

lets just say that these people who will be managing the three sections of the website are not too smart, in fact a monkey is probably smarter than them! so they need an idiots way of putting the new downloadable forms on their sections, also this is what they want doing so i just do what im told!

I remember someone else wanting a similar thing a few months ago. I will see if I can dig out the thread. meanwhile, have you tried a forum search?

Oh, and Alfred: It sounds like the proverbial nut could be a peanut (AKA monkey nut; AKA ground nut)

I know the peanut and ground nut to be different.

In the USA, the ground nut was known as Jersalem Artichoke, renamed by a marketer to SunChoke. It can be cultivated and also harvested from the wild.

According to Wikipedia, there are a few different "groundnuts", one of which is a peanut, amongst other things

This is the Serif forum... and going off-topic is the norm.

I'm waiting for TAE to present a recipe or two.

Meanwhile, have you investigated Google docs? That might do the trick for you and your clients.

Cream of peanut soup (it just so happens that this is from Colonial Williamsburg, one of the few places in America I've been... purely coincidental!)

Groundnut soup

---------

And now back to topic:

I haven't been able to find that thread I was talking about yet... will keep looking though!
