Got myself a Canon SX40 camera did a video which comes in the form of a MV! file brought Xplus 6
Can put the video on a blank disk minus and ples it goes on the disk ok and plays on the computer but will not play any TV through a DVD player
Any ideas as to why not

Tigercat, what exactly did you put on the disc?

Bit light on info, but if your footage is HD, then a DVD player won't handle it.

You'll need a Blu-Ray player for HD playback.

If your files are SD, I dunno!

Hi There
just download the file to a DVD+ RW and it worked on a blue ray player going to try it on a DVD + R disk to see if it works

Hi Eric
I am new to doing Videos from the Canon SX 40 camera just made a very small movie then loaded that in to Movie X5 went in ok on to a just a DVD - R but it would not play on the TV dvd player

Not all DVD players can play R or RW disks.

Even those that can may not be able to play both + and - versions.

Check the specifications of the player.
