DrawPlus X4: background on images

I opened a customer's pdf file that contains png images with transparent backgrounds. When I saved the file as a DP4 & then reopened it, all the images had black backgrounds. What do I need to do to keep that from happening? I don't want to have to redo all the images in DP4.

The file is 20 pages, so I just picked one to work with & guess what? It now has white backgrounds instead of the black. White I can live with, but I would still like to know what the deal is. I've attached both the pdf sample & the same file saved as DP4.

I would really like to see the original PDF--if it is not sensitive info, please repost it. If too large, you would need to use dropbox and provide a download link.

If it is too sensitive for public consumption, you can PM me and I will gladly provide my email address.

The pdf attached to the forum being out of DP isn't really representative of the original PDF.

If I open your PDF file and save it as a DPX5 drawing, the transparency is retained on reopening it. The file is too big to attach as a DPP file so I zipped it.

You're right. It does work in DPX5. Another thing is why does the file become bigger? The document I'm working on went from 6mb (the original pdf) to 8mb (the dpp file) to 58mb (the republished pdf). I opened the pdf in DPX5, saved it as a dpp file & then published it again as a pdf.
