I have another problem: the navigation icons (prev, next play, pause) appear on rollover but somehow it works only in the zone that is outside the site, the space between the site and the edge of the screen. Same for links in the slide.
Any idea where is the problem? maybe something to do with the z-index?
Have you pasted the script containing your images and thumbnails into either Master Page Body Start or Page Body Start. The preview in a browser should be the full width of your screen, not the page.

Do you have it uploaded somewhere (live) so we can look at it and see the code??

It is a responsive slider and it can go full screen rather than just inside your page. Check the height and width you have set for a fixed size or a %! If it's a % try changing it to a fixed number of pixels.

That's all I can think of without seeing it.

Thank you Joe and TheOldFart for your answers.

Here is the link to the test page http://www.kosha.ch/test/page9.html
The problem is not the full width, that's working perfectelly. I put the background of the page in green that you can see that somehow the slideshow appears underneath. On the page properties the Master is on top of Content.

Make the MasterPage and the Page Transparent if you want the background slideshow to be visible on the pages.

Thank you for your answer. the green background was only to highlight the fact that my main problem: "the navigation icons (prev, next play, pause) appear on rollover but somehow it works only in the zone that is outside the site, the space between the site and the edge of the screen. Same for links in the slides (the all image in slide 4 is a link for example)." could be caused by an "invisible layer" on top of the slideshow that would prevent the links included in the slideshow to work properly. here is the link updated http://www.kosha.ch/test/page9.html

In Firefox it looks OK but you do have an extra bit of code which I have marked in red below. You need to remove it.

Code:
<div class="fluid_container">         <div class="camera_wrap camera_petroleum_skin" id="camera_index">                 <div data-thumb="images/slides/thumbs/bridge.jpg" data-src="images/slides/bridge.jpg">                     <div class="camera_caption fadeFromBottom">                         ALORS VOYONS UN PEU <em>Try to resize the browser window</em>                     </div>                 </div>                 <div data-thumb="images/slides/thumbs/leaf.jpg" data-src="images/slides/leaf.jpg">                 <div style="position:absolute;left:164px;top:290px;width:192px;height:192px;</div> <div class="fadeIn camera_effected">ALLO</div>                     <div class="camera_caption fadeFromBottom">

Thank you for your reply.
I use Firefox as well... you mean when you rollover on the left hand side of the slideshow the navigation appears? and on the 4th slide you can click the image even on the left hand side?

No.

Have you removed that that line of code?

As well as that line, remove the z-index from the style statement.

Code:
<style>
.fluid_container {
 /*    position:fixed;  added */
margin: 0 auto;
max-width: 100%;
width: 100%;
z-index:1; /*added */
  }
  </style>

Attach a copy of your page9.html page (without images) on your next post.

Awesome slider!! Is it possible to give this slider a fixed width and height, and place it at a fixed position?

You can change the width in the style statement from 100% to 750px or whatever width you need. The height can be changed in the script. Read through the previous posts in this thread, as this has been covered.

get rid of the last 2 lines of code at the very bottom and it will work fine. The 2 style statements (at the bottom).

Thanks a lot Joe, still have a few issues,
Setting the width to 800 breaks the navigation and thumbs.
Viewing on an Android phone, the page loads zoomed in
And still i cannot find to set a position for the slider.
