I thought that was beautifully shot and edited. The pace of the movie was very good, didn't, 'hang on', to shots too long, which is a common failing in beginners. Keep this up and over a few years and you will have a lovely potted history of your daughter growing up.

Thanks very much Albert. Looking forward to doing another one and getting to know what I am doing a bit more!

What I saw on the ground when I returned to Jersey a month after Hurricane Sandy made landfall. Just something I did to share what I saw and how I felt.

Really nice, and I can see that you are getting some of the MvP techniques down nicely. Loved the ending shot, too.

Cheers Lon.

I am having a bit of trouble trying to sync the video with the music and I can't seem to find much to help in the user manual.

Excellent video, and I love that song!

What is the video source, GoPro HDHeroII? The color repro and detail are superb.

The audio/video sync is an issue I've repeatedly reported to Serif. They can't seem to reproduce it. It has made editing most of my projects an absolute nightmare as the sync goes off the longer you edit.

Are you using ProTune firmware? Have you developed your own correction workflow? I find that I have to do a fair bit of correction to the footage coming from my XTC-200hd.

Tell me you're getting the GoPro HDHero3 Black. Take THAT skiing!

I have no clue what ProTune firmware or developing my own correction workflow is! My technical knowledge is......limited haha.

I won't be getting the new GoPro, I think my wife might divorce me if I buy anything else any time soon! I don't think I was very convincing when explaining how I needed to get the Fuji X100 camera I just bought.

Real quick then, because I feel like I'm derailing the thread:
ProTune firmware for the GoPro ups the file bitrate (higher potential quality at cost of larger size), reduces noise reduction/sharpening in camera, neutralizes the color palette (so you can do your own color-correction manually), etc. Basically, just supposed to be all around greater quality.

Correction workflow is what you have to do to the video clips while editing. For my XTC-200, I always have to white-balance it manually. I usually do a small contrast boost, a few pips of extra saturation, a boost to vibrance, and usually +1 or +2 to Clarity.

Noise reduction I oftentimes leave alone, but when I shoot with it indoors it gets tons of snow or sensor noise, so I have to do really aggressive noise reduction.

That is a quick overview of a correction workflow The GoPro is good enough out of the box that this all isn't absolutely required, but you might want to make a habit of incorporating it so you can get that extra bit out of the footage that you want in terms of style/feel

Nice.

Here's some different tree video shot on 12-12-2012.

That's a much longer term work in progress.

To begin the process of cutting my teeth, I put together the following from still photos taken last year at our annual "Rotarian At Work" day in Lake Arrowhead. We team up with local contractors and take on the repair of about a dozen area homes, where the owners are either too old or don't have the funds to do repairs themselves. It's always a fun and well supported community event.

No video in this one, as the pictures are from April of 2011, when I had not yet learned how to spell M-V-P, of any version.

Not posted for critical review....just thought you might enjoy, and that it might hopefully inspire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-lxkvi77AM

I know it's been some time since you uploaded this video but if you can remember whereabouts did you get the music from? I would like to use it in one of my projects

Good afternoon to all.
Have just posted first video on Utube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UKepkYq5Vo
All the footage stills and videos were either taken by an IPhone or Blackberry. I made the original video in 2011 and made a DVD of it for the family. Sadly I deleted and lost all the source files so I imported the *.vob file from the DVD and have edited and substituted the audio hence the poor picture quality.
Would be grateful of any comments however scathing.

A short infomercial I did last week for an Osteopathic Clinic here in Oxford.
I have been using MvP for many years now and it just works.

Thanks for taking time to watch my work.

Just for my own amusement, I made this video of the birds in my back garden with loads of snow around. WARNING contains UK's song for Europe back in 1959...

Thanks Albert. I've sent the link to a neighbour whose large garden has hundreds of birds fed may times a day. Unfortunately if I visit with my camera the birds take off and hide or sit on my roof and fertilise it!
