The XR500 is a great little camera. I prefer using it to my HXR-NX5. So much more versatile.

Hey guys, another quick export of a video I'm making of my Lake George trip. Timing isn't flawless yet, I'm still struggling with MPX6 going out of sync when I scrub too much :L I have to export to see what is actually going on timing-wise.

Any feedback would be great!

Thoughts on the visualizer? I like it since the top half of the frame is typically empty in all my shots. Too noisy? Not subtle enough?

Did some color correction and sharpening.

This is a particle field test I'm just messing around with. Thoughts?

Hey, everyone. Here are two movies I made with X5. I was really surprised by how much I could do with this program, because I thought I was limited to just transitions and such. Turns out you can do a lot even with photographs if you use a lot of panning and zooming.

Thank you so much; I had a lot of fun doing them (and not just because of the Apple bashing !) I really love X5, because it totally opened my horizons. Before I was using Windows Movie Maker for all of my vids, and as great as it is, it was pretty limited. This program really blew my socks off, because I thought I was only going to be able to do some fancy transitions; didn't realize I could do all this other cool stuff.

Glad you liked it and there'll definitely be more anti-Apple stuff on the way, lol...

Here's my latest X6 effort. Filmed, edited, mixed in under 24 hours! The music isn't mine this time; it's a track called 'The Walker' by Four80East from their latest album.

Default Something to Remember

Compiled following a trip to the Somme Battlefields where my grandfather was wounded twice. So I made this short video as a tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. It really brought home to me the pain and sadness experienced by both sides of the conflict.

I was busy the last weeks with making a montage for an action that took place in Belgium. The purpose is to make people aware that we should do something now to stop the climate change before it is too late.

People came together in more than 170 towns in Belgium the 22 and 23 of semptember to sing a song writen for the occasion. In the town next where I am living, 1900 came together that day. It has been recorded by 4 cameras (HD). I have mixed the pictures (Movie Plus) and created the animation (Anime Studio).

http://youtu.be/1558F1Un_Po?hd=1

If you are interrested in the action itself, you can find more info here:
www.singfortheclimate.com/EN/default.aspx

It was the first time I worked with HD rush. I got material from 4 different cameras, each using another codec. But MP X6 did it without crashing (which was not always the case in other projects I made using X3 or X5).

Hello everyone, I'm new here! No doubt I'll have a few really basic questions on how to do some video editing as this is completely new to me. Movie Plus x6 is my first software and this is my first ever vid!

From our first holiday with my little girl at 14 months old. I'm really pleased with how it came out for a first go.

Welcome to the forums....welcome to the Serif family...welcome to MvP. That was a very, very, very good first effort. Being a pilot, I loved the flying sequences, even though short.

I just to a new phone that has 1080P vid capability, so I'm hoping (once I figured out how to answer the darned thing, with MJH's help!) to get some vid time and get back to making another short film.

Lon "it was nicely done!" in California

I agree, excellent first effort at editing, some of the footage is a bit wobbly and some distortion through an ultra wide lens, so perhaps things to watch out for.

Cheers guys. The footage was all from a GoPro HD hero 2 which is wide angle and all hand held. You can't actually see what you are filming with it either so it will be trial and error and trying to keep a steady hand I guess!
