Default Making Shapes

Hi,

Can somebody please advise how I 'subtract' one shape from another in DP X5 please? I need to make a circle with a hole in the centre and have a large circle with a smaller one on top thereof. how do I subtract the smaller circle from the larger one? I know there is a 'quick donut' but I don't want to use that.

Thank You

Mark

Not sure about DPX5, but in X4, select both objects and use the "Subtract" icon in the Arrange tab.

It's the same in DPX6 — you can also use Combine on the Arrange menu.

Thanks Martin, that did the trick.

Geoff, my small circle was off centre and I was trying to make a 'tunnel entrance' using two rectangles for the walls. It is done now.

Thanks both

Mark
