Have at last been able to use the dimension angle tool effectively. It is very accurate but the accuracy in terms of seconds of a degree depends entirely on the accuracy of the user placing the mouse cursor exactly over the vertex join. A quarter of a line wide point will change the reading. It also depends on the exact point of join of the two lines.

Zoom in on the vertex to check if the lines are truly joined at the same point and make any adjustment as necessary.

Hi M@tto

You might find this thread re the dimension angle tool interesting as it applies to quadrilaterals, which have no snap points and the difficulties therefore of accurately placing the cursor - http://forums.serif.com/showthread.php?t=115026

Thank you Peanuts. I have seen the other thread and tried out the tool on angles of a rectangle; For me the tool works as well and with the same precise result. However placing the cursor accurately is just as difficult and one is very lucky to obtain the same angle twice. I think Serif needs to change the tool so that the first positioning and the positioning at the vertex are auto centered on the line and intersection respectively.
