There's no such thing as negative growth. It's a bit like saying negative profits, you wouldn't, you'd say a loss. Similary instead of negative growth you would use someother context appropriate word, e.g. contraction or decline.

Reminds me of that cartoon showing the boss at his office desk, seated in front of a wall-chart showing strong "negative growth":

"We're a not-for-profit... We didn't mean to be!"

Long memory; but it was just a random thought.

BTW. I've just updated their VirtualBox, but Win8 still doesn't like it.

Yes, he's no fool:

For reasons best known to Whitehall, UK Air Passenger Duty (ie. tax) is much lower for the longer flight to Hawaii, than to Sir Richard Branson's Caribbean island.

The point of my comment is that David Walker says the day is 24 hours, at which point I ask: how do you fit in the night for sleeping?

As for me, I tend to sleep at times during the day, or more specifically, during the evening - especially through a TV science documentary I particularly want to watch.

Before that, something else for you to see on your next visit to London: Blackfriars Bridge Station.

I thought that these covers were just something to protect VIPs during the Jubilee River Pageant. But apparently they are permanent as part of a new station.

Even my fuzzy photos from the Wibbly Wobbly Bridge and Tate Modern, show how the view up the Thames is now blocked.

So maybe the daylight isn't growing shorter, they are just covering the sun?
