WebPlus X5: Iframe issue

I've inserted my paypal buy button into a Iframe and when I move the Iframe around nothing changes on the page.

Is this a bug?

What do you mean? Can you illustrate the problem? What is meant to change on the page?

I put my paypal button code in the iframe and just for an example I moved the Iframe for the one next to virus & spyware removal towards the middle. When I preview it, the position doesn't move.

That looks like an HTML code fragment, not an iframe.

BTW: you can attach images directly to posts in this forum via the paperclip icon.

Ok, I though that was an Iframe. Where do you go in Webplus to insert a Iframe?

'Insert' > 'Web object' > 'Framed document' generates an HTML iframe.

NO, the purpose of an iframe is to display something from another source, like a page in your site or an external link.

To paste your paypal code, do as suggested above, go to:

Insert > WebObject > HTML > click Paste to Body > position the grey square on the page.

Are you trying to get the PayPal code objects to appear in a table cell? If you simply place them over the top of a table cell, you could run into trouble with relative alignment.

I attach a file that demonstrates an HTML code fragment inserted and centred in a table cell.

First use 'Insert' > 'Web Object' > 'HTML' and paste code to body with 'Ignore page position (raw HTML)' ticked. Select the HTML fragment and use 'Edit' > 'Copy'. Place text cursor (caret) in table cell and use 'Edit' > 'Paste'. If this works OK, you can now delete the original HTML fragment that is not in a table cell.

With HTML fragment selected, a text attachment button should appear to its lower right. Click it and set the fragment to be 'Position inline as a character'. If you now drag the text cursor over the HTML fragment so it becomes shaded colour (like text), you can now align it with for exampe the 'Align centre' button in the context toolbar. You can also use 'Text' > 'Vertical text alignment' > 'Centre' for example (as demonstrated in attached file).

I did what you said to do, and when I preview it this is how it displays.

By the way for some reason when I try to use the post a picture nothing shows up so that's why I keep using link.

Yes, you will see the paypal button on Preview Page in Browser.


PS I really flunk inserting images in table cells or code as you and Archibald have.

I did preview page in browser and paypal isn't showing up, the html box shows up.
