Backgrounds into materials

Sorry if this has been asked before but is it possible to change backgrounds into materials. If so, how? Thanks for your time.

Hi

There is probably another way, but this is what I just did:

Select the background and drop it onto a page
Click the Layers tab
Go to the background layer
Select the backgroun image
Drag it and drop it into the Materials category in the Assets

DSA (Digital Scrapbook Artist) has a load of videos on using DSA and these also apply to Craft Artist
http://forums.serif.com/showthread.php?t=58424 There is one in that list (about the middle) about backgrounds and layers. Also Lovemyzombie on Youtube produced loads of videos on DSA and CraftArtist which you may find helpful.
