Default PhotoPlus X5 Update Announcement (15.0.1)

Dear All.

Serif (Europe) Ltd. is announcing the release of an update for the English Language PhotoPlus X5 (build number 15.0.1.11).

Note: This update is specifically for the physical CD master. If you have purchased the download version you already have this 15.0.1 version as 15.0.0 was never available as a download.

The main purpose of the build is to resolve issues discovered since the master of PhotoPlus 15.0.0 CD for which we apologise. As well as a number of minor fixes, this update addresses the following major issues. Many are phrased in the negative from our database but are nevertheless fixed.
  • Changing the printer properties forces the app to print the first page
  • Path creation should create History entry
  • Reset Colours clears History stack
  • Crash: Error message followed by Runtime error when removing Image slice
  • Layer fill redraw problem
  • Updating/Redraw issue with Adjustments tab
  • Crash saving HDR merge intermediate file when we change focus
  • Preset combo on channel mixer adjustment, preset name doesn't fit
  • Changing a quickshape's gradient causes redraw issues
  • Filter Gallery - Noise Reduction - Causes colour faults
  • Adjustments tab: not refreshing switching between documents
  • Redraw issue with gradient fill
  • Adjustment Layers in Macro - Macro does not pause to allow adjustment
  • Zoom Controls in Studios
  • Autofit when switching view modes in Quickfix Studio
  • Cannot open some AVI files
  • Startup Wizard entry for File menu
We would recommend that ALL users of PhotoPlus X5 English CD download and install this file. Serif recommend that updating should be done within the program, by using the "Check for update from web" option in the Help Menu. This will always get any available update for your version of Serif software (DVD or download) and install it too. The downloads page www.serif.com/downloads.asp has the file also, which is 2.79 MB.

To work out if you need this update choose "About PhotoPlus" in the help menu and if the version number is 15.0.0.10 or less and you are running the English version then you need this update. Helpfully the software checks for updates the first time it runs, so for those yet to install a CD, the latest update will be found on first use if needed.

Technical Info:

File name: PhotoPlus-X5-EN_15.0.1.11_Patch-Setup.exe
Size: 2.79 MB (2,934,096 bytes)

Sig Date/Time: 12 September 2011, 12:18:39
