Dear All.

Serif (Europe) Ltd. has decided to release of a patch for Digital Scrapbook Artist (build number 1.0.2.024). The main purpose of the patch is to resolve an upload issues discovered after the mastering of Digital Scrapbook Artist 1.0.1, for which we apologise.

To work out if you need this patch choose "About Digital Scrapbook Artist" in the help menu and if the version number is 1.0.0.015 or 1.0.1.017 then you need this patch. Helpfully the software checks for updates the first time it runs, so for those yet to install a CD, the latest patch will be found on first use.

We would also recommend that ALL users of Digital Scrapbook Artist download and install this patch. Serif recommend that patching should be done within the program, by using the "Check for update from web" option in the Help Menu. This will always get any available patch for your version of Serif software (CD or download) and install it too. The downloads page www.serif.com/downloads.asp has the patch also, which is 5.75 MB. The patch for the download Digital Scrapbook Artist is the same as for the CD version.


A list of the changes/fixes in this patch are listed below. Some are phrased in the negative from our database, but are nevertheless fixed.

• Scissor edge not applied if chosen before preset scissor path
• 'Export as Image' exports unrefined images as viewed, fixed
• Preset scissors preview fixed
• Closing second document could caused crash
• Paper textures do not show on embellishments
• CMYK tiff files break software
• Content sometimes "lost" after SB is "saved as"
• Cutout studio doesn't work on images with photo adjustments etc.
• Odd character ahead of labels on scissor context toolbar (XP)
• Can't make Image Adjustments to Photos inside a frame
• Scissors tool straight line fix
• Adjustments not rendering reopening document
• Image adjustments corrupting Replace picture
• 'Pop up' hint text doesn't fit using 'large fonts'
• Text resizing out-of-aspect working properly
• Can print edges now
• Image adjustments work properly with subsampling
• When uploading a scrapbook, set the document to dirty - so we properly persist the UID from the server
• Improved the resampler so photos in frames are improved.
• Panasonic lumix codec crashes App when started.

This patch also includes all the issues fixed in the previous DSA patch. This software patch is the only patch you need to apply, no matter what version of software you are currently running. There is no need to uninstall any previous patch before installing this patch.
