Lightbulb Guide sheet wrong ?

I setup my Epson R300 via the duplex setup wizard but find when I want to print a single fold double-sided A4 leaflet that if I follow the instruction sheet with the arrows the second side is upside down. the instruction sheet says
"Reinsert the paper with this sheet FACE DOWN in the direction of the arrow.Use the smaller arrow if your printer feeds the paper along the long edge."
But the smaller arrow points to the shortest edge!

To get the leaflet to print correctly I have to ignore the arrowed guide sheet instructions alltogether.
I know it might be me doing something wrong but I've asked family and friends to go through the duplex setup etc..and they all say it's borked!!

Am I wrong? will I die?

hope this makes sense to you all

all the best,

Night..

How paper is inserted in a printer can be different for different printers so it would be rather difficult to give generic directions for duplex printing.

For Epson, the print surface is always facing the user and the top of the page is alwasy printed first. To print the reverse side of a page, insert the previously printed page upside down with the printed side facing away.

Nightlight, welcome to the forum.

This feature works well with simplex pirnters, but as Serif encourages us to use their manual duplex feature with printers that already provide manual or auto duplex printing, it would be very helpful if they issued a table of how it interacts with each of the range of popular printers, including their print profile files.
