error with ms office word pops up, says "not entered valid product key".....i dont use ms word at all....so im perplexed..when i try to cancel the error message it tries to register ms office, when i cancel that, pp10 crashes....
i recall using the options in pp9 with no trouble and i never used ms office/word on that puter either.
i think i want pp9 back..but i dont have the disc anymore!

PS: im working on detailing a runaround for that files from pp9 to 10 via cd loading problem, it can be done, with some hoop flying!

everything else on pp10 seems to be working fine...tried some test pdfs'.. they created fine, and seemed faster to create than pp9...nice

I saw a similar issue on a friends PC a couple of weeks ago....
Eventually, it was tracked down to the Install routine of another program (TrustInstaller) still sitting in the Startup box. Taking the 'tick' out of the box and re-booting cured it. Srtangely, that was calling MS Office too and, like you, my friend does not possess MSWord....

so its not just me.....how many little oddities are in this new version!....lol...the thing is, there is nothing else ive loaded on this puter..i just did total system restore a few days ago, to make sure everything was "clean" and there WERE NO possible conflicts BEFORE i loaded pageplus..computer seemed fine after system restore....
then pp10 loaded fine....i have the cd loading issue but thats being discussed....what should i look far as far this options menu not working...what exactly should i look for in startup???...since pageplus is only thing on here (plus free junk the computer came with..appreciate you getting back ..thanks!
it seems bizarre another program is "trying" to be called up thru pageplus, then pp crashes..but since your friend had it happen im not crazy.

Under Tools/Options, there is a box to select which word processor to use to import text. Mine has always been set to Word, I presume by default. I would check to make sure something else is selected and then cross my fingers it works.

It wasn't with Serif software. It came up when she was using PSP.

'Free junk' has to be installed. It follows it has some method of calling the InstallShield.

You can check all your Startup programs at various places on the web. This http://www.guidaworld.com/startups_all/startups_all.htm is one such place, here is another one http://www.blackviper.com/ .

Me too, but with a different program. Insidious M$ B######s.

i deleted microsoft office from my computer.. as i never used it.. there was some conflict..options under tools in pp10 now works
