Re: Adding "B" roll?

I cannot locate anything in support data to solve this question.
How do I lay down a video clip or photo over an existing base layer of video and audio, keeping existing audio intact and only changing the video?
I have MPX3
Thanks

I prefer to use the Timeline mode.
In Timeline mode, add a video track above the main video track. When viewed in the preview screen or on TV, the higher video track will obscure the lower video track.
If necessary, the main video track can be "muted" or its "opacity" can be reduced.
You can also use "keyframes" to set different "opacity" for the video track or clip at different parts of your movie.
In this old video, I placed the close-up of the bellows on a higher video track and used keyframes to vary its opacity.
