Is there a way to link object properties?

For instance, I will have several text boxes. If I decide to change the color, size, outline or background of one box, can all the other text boxes (or other objects) automatically inherit those properties (but NOT the text inside). The text does not flow from one text box to another. This is more or less a way to quickly change dozens of boxes at the same time and view what the changes will look like on the page.

Thank you.

I recently used PagePlus to create a flyer/poster with an event date of June 8. I used Serif's ElementarySF font and all looks good except for the number "8" which appears distorted (I'd say "lumpy") on its top and bottom curves, this in both regular and bold versions. It looks to me like a defect in the font. Can anyone confirm this on their system? Thanks.

the DLL exists beneath all others (I did not remove any)
C:\Program Files\PagePlusX6\Program\Serif2DU.dll

I'm currently evaluating PPX6 and want to avoid having PPX6 synthesizing font/character styles, e.g. if a font has no bold typeface the bold button should be disabled. Same goes for e.g. small caps, if the font has no such glyphs, it shouldn't be possible to make PPX6 synthesize them.

Is there a setting somewhere to define this?

1 missing fonts in pdfx - 2 colour separations

Hi! Just bought PagePlus X6 to solve problems with older Page Plus 8 - but problems...

First... I tried to make a PDFx file of a CD booklet - 20 pages. I get an error saying the bold style of one font (Concurso Moderne BTN LT - Truetype) is missing, yet that same font style prints okay in parts of the booklet. It is definitely in my fonts system folder and PPX6 even lists it in the used fonts... I tried re-saving as a package to ensure the fonts were embedded but same result. Any help gratefully received as this job is quite urgent.

(I can use my PDFCreator "printer" and that works fine, printing the fonts correctly, except it doesn't show pre-press printing marks for colour, density etc etc which I need to send.)

Second.... I was told by the Serif sales person when I decided to upgrade that I could print colour separations. When I do this I only get greyscale versions of CYMK and not colour. I could already do that in PP8. The magazine I was advertising in last time (international) said it needed colour versions, not greyscale... The tech man told me to buy Photoshop(!) etc... SM:MADSM:MAD which was not why I bought the upgrade for PP...... Any ideas, either within Serif or 3rd party?....

Thank you!

Hi guys,

I don't know how I did it, but somehow I have random horizontal rulers on every page of my publication. Removing them page by page is a PITA. How do I get rid of them?

Also, does anyone know why, when you anchor an image in your text, it seems to show up arbitrarily somewhere else on the page? Why won't it just go where I have my mouse pointer? instead of down the page somewhere or in the column to the left?

I know I can link to images in that directory, but it looks like the whole directory (starting from my D: drive) is saved in the PPP file.
Can I link to images just using ..\images? In other words, using relative file paths instead of full file paths.
That's easier for when I want to move the whole PPP file with the 'images' subdirectory to another directory or another computer.

Hi All - long time lurker, first time poster!

I'm trying to produce a PDF that retains spot colours, but my PDF is black and white when I do this. This occurs on all documents i produce :( I produce my document, (3 quickshapes, nothing else) publish as a PDF and choose retain spot colours and get a black and white PDF

Also, when I click file, print, then select separations, my print out is black and white too.

I'm sure I'm missing something really silly here and this is my first time producing a document that requires spot colors. If anybody could point me in the right path, I'd be eternally grateful!

I use the small pages tab to move a page to another position.

(by the way: any idea how this can be faster? If I want to move a page let's say 20 positions, I have to move it multiple times, because my pages tab shows only 6 pages and doesn't scroll when I have selected a page and I'm dragging it.)

When I go to the moved page in it's new position, I see that the contents of that page have been moved to the left and to the top. It's partly outside the page now.

I have 5 items on the page and all those 5 items (text box, image, table et cetera) have been moved the same distance.

It's very annoying to move those 5 items one by one back to their original position.

Any idea why this is happening?
