I gave up smoking

As some of you may remember my mum passed away in February, this was partly due to smoking for over 60 years and i made a decision that the day after my mums funeral i would stop smoking my misses and my father at the age of 79 decided to join me.
On March the 5th i woke up and put on a nicotine patch my misses decided to use a combination of the gum and lozenges and so did my dad, i am more than proud to say that i am now off the patches and doing good with no assistance my misses and farther are also doing good although they are still using the lozenges.
If anyone is thinking of giving up i have a few tips that may help.
Firstly don't just decide to stop plan it make a date and stick to it, inform anyone who you no who smokes and ask them to be thoughtful.
If the method you are using is not working don't give up there are several to choose from.
If you get a bad craving try drinking a glass of water most cravings don't last very long and it can help.
Have a jar/money box and put the money each day you would spend on cigarettes into it at the end of the week take what you have and treat yourself, in the uk 20 cigarettes are around £7 so smoking 20 a day would give you £49 a week.
If you are on the patches and it is time for you to go to step 2 don't waste your money buying step 2 patches, buy step 1 patches and cut them in half there not as strong but there not far of and you can add the extra money to your jar, use the same method for step 3 only cut step one patches into 4.
I hope anyone who is thinking of giving up will post in here with the progress you are making.

After looking at and completely disliking the new Community Forum I decided to look more closely into this one.
I have been a member almost since the Forum started despite the Member's list showing that I joined in 2009 - I 'lost' my original membership when the Forum was up-dated while I was a long time in hospital.
I admit that I have been rather lax in really searching into the full workings and facilities and thought it was time that I did. I have no 'ulterior motive' in this, other than understanding.
I found the following, which I don't fully understand: -
"What is the Members List?
The members list shows the registered members of the board. Providing the administrator allows this..........
Are all members listed?
Some members may not be on the list. The administrator has options over who is shown on the list. They may, for example, omit members who have not made many posts or who belong to certain user groups.

Question: Who is the 'Administrator'?
If it is Serif how often do they visit?
Belong to certain user groups? What groups? Why should they not be/are not shown?

Next thing I found:-
"You can view the reputation that you have received in your User CP (User Control Panel) where it is displayed at the bottom of the User CP page. Here you will see the latest reputation that you have received and whether this is positive, negative or neutral. Your total reputation will be shown as series of reputation indicators in your posts and profile. The more positive your reputation, the more positive icons will be shown. The more negative your reputation the more negative icons will be shown.
How much reputation is given? What is reputation power?
If the administrator has enabled this, the amount of reputation that each user will give (or take away if negative) is shown in the user's posts as 'Reputation Power'. The value of the reputation power is determined by the administrator and may increase over time depending on the settings they have applied".

Question:
Why isn't reputation given/taken away shown on posts & profile the same as shown in CPU?
How often, if at all, is reputation shown on posts & profile up-dated?
Is Reputation Power value still applied?

Hello everybody,

I like to create ebooks in epub format. I like to check those ebooks before I finally release them.

I have bought an Onyx i62 Pearl HD Firefly which is a greyscale ebook reader. But there are many other readers, like tablets, iPad, Kindle.

It is impossible to buy all those devices.

What I like to know is, when the epub ebook looks correct on the Onyx reader, Can I assume it will also look good on the other readers?

If I have to check on every device individually, how do you solve that problem?

Also DRM protection seems a problem for the human reader. Is it just better to leave the DRM protection out and sell the ebook at a low price to prevent illegal copying?

I will appreciate your input very much and thank you in advance for your time and efforts.

Wish you a very nice day.

I suspect that many people will have a Wacom tablet, I have an Intuos 4 but I am sure that other kinds of Wacom tablet may be adjusted in the same way. Every time I pressed it down the beyond a certain point it automatically brought up a "right click" menu. It was beginning to drive me mad, until I found this very useful item of help in a forum.
-------------------------------------------
Intuos 4 tablet, right action on the pen tip

Can anyone help, I wish to turn off the right click action on the pen tip when it is pressed down for a second or so. This is the most irritating thing in the world, I have looked everywhere and cannot find out how to do it, if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
thanks
Chris

Execute this:
Start> Run> "services.msc"

In the new window find "Tablet PC Input service", right click, select stop.
Then right click again, click Properties and from there change the service Startup Type from "Automatic" to "Disabled"

I was asked to build a website for a friend who is selling these diet supplements. It's one of those businesses where she pays the company to send her the product and then she sells it. I didn't know if I could make her the website even though she owns the supplement she sells.

Thanks for the help!

Oh I forgot to add that she will not be selling the product off the site directly, it is pretty much an information site that will contain contact information and photos of theproducts.

Hello All,

My name is Randy Myers. I have used Painter for a number of years and I have finally had it with the companies policies and lack of customer support.

I used Painter X for a long while and it did every thing I needed. I create original artwork (paintings)... But, the program would literally not run if you have over 8 GB of RAM in your computer. Both my Desktop and Laptop have 16 GB. So I purchased version 12.

Well I also rebuild and play with my computers often. On the second rebuild I received a message that the program had been activated too many times. I had uninstalled the software correctly, etc. I tried to call customer service and explain that this is the same computer only on a rebuild.

There is no way of getting a hold of the company/customer service without paying for a customer service call. It is a principle thing with me; I purchased their software legally and should not have to pay them to re-install it. What if I purchased a new computer... which I also do often.

Therefore I am research new software for my art work, because I have had it with Corel. Soooo... this brings me to DrawPlus.... can it do the job. Can I reinstall it whenever I rebuild or change my computer?

Does it have a blend or a defused blur type function. Does it have good brush choices, etc. I assume it works well with Wacom Intuos 5.

Thank you for your time. I really want to find a new program for my art work....

Please e-mail me if you have any questions or thoughts that you would like to discuss outside of the forums.

Thank you, Randy
