Dear all

I have tried to update our website today - adding a panel to a slider and adding some other new photos.

When uploading - the progress bar will hang after about 30% of the pictures uploading - and then it will keep saying Retry 1, Retry 2 etc until eventually it gives up. I then get an error message saying:

"There was an error opening remote file wp1etc.jpg for writing (OpenRequest failure)

I can't work out why this is occurring! Any ideas?? the file isn't open in any other program and I have closed, restarted machine and relaunched without success!?

From other threads I can confirm:
1) the file size is only 292kb
2) I have plenty of space host side
3) The page previews and the slider works perfectly
4) I have added the same photo to the normal page (ie not the slider) and the same problem occurs
5) I have tried a different photo and the same error occurs.
6) I have published page to disk folder and it works fine.

Thanks all

I'm attaching a two sample scripts (converted to a text file)produced by FTG if that helps. I'm no php expert so I can't tell.
1and1 the webhost has informed its customers that it will not support php4 from later this year and is advising their clients to upgrade their php scripts to php5

I know that Brian E gave a good tutorial on how to do Word Press Integration that works with Web Plus a while back and that was really cool.

I was wondering if there are other tools/things out there that will allow my customers to update content on a website I design for them? This would be content updating that doesn't require having a copy of Web Plus.

For example things like:

updating photo galleries

updating calendars

updating schedules

How can I make these things able to be updated for my customers?
Are there other things out there that other Serif users are using that makes things easy to update for your customers/clients?

Hi

I've just been designing a website for my girlfriends business for the first time and i have came to a point where i am totally lost and looking for someone with the knowhow to help me proceed.

My problem is this, I am using the E-commerce within the quick build of Webplus x6 and my shipping costs on the item im trying to sell is 1.50 and every additional item added to the cart is 1.00. When i proceed to checkout im redirected to paypal where it shows a postage cost of 4.00 that is with transaction-based postage values to override the profile postage settings listed above enabled in paypal settings. and I get a postage of 2.50 without that setting enabled.

not the 1.50 i put into the quick build e-commerce settings.

does anyone know how i make paypal and the e-commerce to link up and give me the correct postage

cheers

I discovered I had made a typo when entering the link for the continue shopping button in my Mal's cart database set-up. I have since corrected the error and the address now shows correctly in the dialog box. See attached.

However, when I preview the page, add items to my cart and then hit Continue Shopping, it tries to redirect to the old address with the typo. It's not updating the link. I have tried deleting totally, clicking okay and then reentering the address. I've saved and re-saved. I've even closed out of the file and WebPlus and it's still not updating.

Any ideas??

e-mail in PDF format. There are 28 pages in the magazine which consist of narrative and graphics.

Could someone please explain the best way of doing this? I had thought about a hyperlink to another file which would contain the 28 pages but am not sure how it would open the magazine and enable readers to go through every page.
At the moment I am completely stuck for a way forward so if anyone can help me, I will be very grateful.SM:UNSURE
